Rogue Receives 15 Medals In World Beer Championships

Newport, Oregon, April 15, 2010 – In 2010, Rogue Ales has received 15 Gold Medals from the World Beer Championships. Gold Medals received this year (with corresponding scores) include:

Imperial Red Ale – 94
Old Crustacean Barleywine – 93
Yellow Snow IPA – 93
Russian Imperial Stout – 93
Double Chocolate Stout – 92
I2PA Imperial India Pale Ale – 92
Brutal IPA – 92
Hazelnut Brown Nectar – 92
Mogul Madness – 92
Double Mocha Porter – 91
Captain Sig’s Northwestern Ale – 91
Shakespeare Stout – 90
Imperial Younger’s Special Bitter Ale – 90
Juniper Pale Ale – 90
Rogue congratulates its Brew Master, John Maier, on this year’s awards, which include five out of seven total Gold Medals awarded in the Strong Ales category and two of the top five India Pale Ales.
Rogue’s ales, porters, stouts and lagers are brewed using hops and barley from Rogue’s own Oregon micro-farms. Rogue is committed to saving the terroir of Oregon hops and barley from extinction, one acre at a time.
