USA’S BEST: OREGON SINGLE MALT WHISKEY

Portland, OR – For the second year in a row, Rogue Spirits’ Oregon Single Malt Whiskey was selected by a Panel of Judges from the American Distilling Institute as the Gold Medal Winner in the Single Malt category. The American Distilling Institutes annual conference and competition, which brings together craft distillers was held this April in Portland, OR. This is the fifth gold medal for the Chatoe Rogue Oregon Single Malt Whiskey since its release in June of 2010.

Rogue’s Oregon Single Malt Whiskey, is made from 100% Oregon Ingredients. The barley used in the whiskey is grown on Rogue’s barley farm in the shadow of Mt. Hood near Tygh Valley. The barley is smoked over alder wood from Oregon’s coastal range, milled and brewed at the Rogue brewery, fermented with yeast from The Dalles, OR, and then distilled and ocean aged in Newport, OR.

Prior awards for Chatoe Rogue Oregon Single Malt Whiskey include: a gold medal at the American Distilling Institute 2010, a gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, and a gold medal at the World Beverage Competition.
